Fun Stuff & Helpful Links...
First, the Fun Stuff ;-)
If you're looking for a little escape, sit back now and enjoy a
1913 Victor Talking Machine Company recording of Billy Murray and
Ada Jones singing the classic "Come Josephine in My Flying
Machine." Just click on the record label below. (You must have
RealPlayer® or Windows MediaPlayer® to play the clip.)

On the other hand, if you'd like the hear a little something from an
artist of more historical note, click on the Blue Amberol image below
and listen to Polk Miller and his Old Southern Quartette. Polk Miller
served in the Confederacy during the American Civil War; this song having
been recorded in 1910, 3 years before his death. The song is produced
from a Thomas Edison Blue Amberol Cylinder Record as pictured below. Probably
Mr. Miller's greatest claim to fame, though, was his home-made remedies
that he prepared for his dog "Sergeant." Even today, Sergeant's®
Pet Care Products Company is still going strong, helped in no small way
by their founder, Polk Miller. Listen and enjoy!
